Summer Art Camp 2026 at Art One Academy Richmond Hill offers a structured, creative day camp where children ages 4–12 explore drawing, painting, illustration, design, animation, and hands-on creative projects in a professional studio environment.

Each week focuses on different skills and mediums, allowing students to attend multiple weeks without repeating projects—perfect for families planning a creative and enriching summer.

Our camps are designed for beginners and experienced young artists alike, with age-appropriate instruction that balances creativity, technique, and confidence-building.

Weekly Themes & What Kids Learn

Each themed week introduces new artistic concepts, materials, and creative challenges—encouraging growth without repetition.

Week 1 (Shortened – Canada Day Week)
Into the Wild North: Art Inspired by Canada
Through Canadian animals and landscapes, students strengthen observation skills using drawing and painting.

Week 2
Storybook Worlds & Illustration
Characters, environments, and visual storytelling come together as students learn how illustrators bring stories to life.

Week 3
Fantasy Creatures & Mythical Worlds
Imaginative creature design builds creativity, composition skills, and expressive character development.

Week 4
Food as Art: Illustration, Pattern & Design
Everyday food becomes bold artwork as students explore illustration, pattern-making, and graphic design concepts.

Week 5
Animation Through Art: Drawings That Come to Life
Discover how artists create the illusion of movement through drawing, sequencing, and storytelling.

Week 6 (Shortened Week)
Level Up Lab: Game Art & Creative Builds
Pixel art, game-inspired design, and hands-on builds strengthen visual problem-solving skills.

Week 7
Painter’s Studio: Colour, Texture & Technique
Students develop confidence using acrylic, watercolor, and pastel while learning colour mixing, texture, and brush control.

Week 8
Global Art Explorers
Art styles from around the world introduce cultural influences, materials, patterns, and traditional techniques.

Camp Schedule & Fees (HST Included)

All art materials are included. There are no additional supply fees.

Full-Day Camp

Full Day 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Full Week: $480 (5-Days) / $385 (4-Days Week 1 & 6)
• Flex Full Day: $110 per day

Half-Day Camp

Morning Half Day: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Afternoon Half Day: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

• Half-Day Week: $330 (5-Days) / $265 (4-Days Week 1 & 6)
• Flex Half Day: $80 per day

Extended Care

• Early Care / After Care: $12 per hour
• Early Care 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM / After Care 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  (Pre-registration required)

🍕Friday Pizza Lunch
2 slices + juice box Included for full-day, full-week campers as a fun end-of-week treat.
Flex day campers optional add-on $5 for 1 slice / $7 for 2 slices plus juice box per child, (pre-registration required)

To support families planning ahead or enrolling multiple children, we offer the following discounts:

Early Bird Discount (February 1 – February 28)

• $20 off full-week camp / $10 off half-day week
• Not valid on flex day enrollments

Current Term Student Bonus

Students currently enrolled in a term class at the time of camp registration receive:

• Additional $10 off camp enrollment to full week or half- day week camps
• Not valid on flex days

Multi-Week Discount

• $30 off the second full week / $15 off the second half-day week

Sibling Discount

• $20 off full-week camp / $10 off half-day week / $5 off flex full day on second or more child
• No sibling discount on flex half day

Refer a Friend Discount

• $20 off full-week camp for both families.
• Friend must be new to Art One Academy Richmond Hill
• One referral credit per family per camp season

*Maximum 2 types of discounts allowed per student for each enrollment
