Natassya Shanmigaraja is a multidisciplinary artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Studio and a minor in Mathematics from the University of Lethbridge. Originally from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, and now based in Oakville, Ontario. Her artistic practice was developed through extensive academic study and sustained studio work in Lethbridge, Alberta. Working across drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, textiles, photography, printmaking, and digital media, her practice is grounded in a strong technical foundation and hands-on experimentation.

Her work is reflective and concept-driven, engaging with environmental, philosophical, and psychological themes while exploring emotion, memory, identity, and the relationship between internal experiences and the external world. She has exhibited in multiple group exhibitions and has also contributed illustration work as a published book cover artist. Alongside her studio practice, Natassya brings professional experience as an Art Studio Assistant and in production design, costume design, and photography, shaping her organized, thoughtful, and people-centred approach to working within creative and educational art spaces.
