Joe Woolfe

Administrator | Instructor

Joe Woolfe is a multidisciplinary artist with a Bachelor of Design in Environmental Design from OCAD University. His practice is rooted in eclecticism, and he has a particular interest in compositions inspired by mathematical patterns in music. Throughout his education, Joe took advantage of OCAD’s flexible curriculum structure to take courses outside of his department, including illustration, drawing and painting, woodworking, and bookbinding.

Joe has worked in multiple positions as an arts educator and enjoys researching theories and approaches to teaching and learning. His design thesis explored how architecture can create spaces that encourage community-led music education, creating practice rooms for musicians tailored to the acoustic needs of each instrument family.

Over any one medium, Joe’s primary interest is learning. As a Joe of all trades, he hopes to inspire his students to find wonder in the variety of art.
