Esther Chai was born in South Korea and raised in Canada. Her artistic practice spans a wide range of mediums, including drawing, painting, mixed media, digital art, photography, collage, and film. She enjoys exploring new techniques and art styles, often combining traditional and digital processes.

Alongside her studio work, Esther has over seven years of experience teaching and tutoring students of various ages. She finds fulfillment in supporting student growth and confidence both inside and outside the classroom. Her background also includes leadership and design roles in several organizations and clubs at McMaster University, as well as experience mentoring youth and assisting in community-focused programs.
