Ersi began his journey in fine art at a very young age, developing a deep passion for classical artistic expression early in life. By the age of 12, he was already receiving formal training in academic drawing and painting, building a strong technical foundation rooted in observation, precision, and discipline. He later attended an artistic high school in Albania, where he became deeply inspired by European fine art traditions.
During his studies, Ersi specialized in academic sculpture, working across mediums such as clay, plaster, woodcarving, and marble carving. His dedication to his craft often kept him in the studio overnight as he worked tirelessly to complete his diploma. He not only trained but also worked closely with his mentors, Elis and Rudina Hyshmeri—internationally recognized artists now based in Florida whose reputation extends beyond Albanian borders.
Ersi was awarded 100% scholarships to prestigious art institutions in Russia, though he ultimately chose to pursue his artistic career in Canada. Working across oil, acrylic, charcoal, ink, watercolor, gouache, and sculpture, his work draws inspiration from masters such as Rembrandt, Ilya Repin, Alberto Giacometti, as well as Impressionist and broader classical traditions.
As an instructor, he aims to instill strong technical skills, artistic discipline, and a deep appreciation for fine art in his students.
