Wendy Zhu was born in Beijing China and moved to Canada at the age of 6. She has had a love of all things creative since a very young age and experiments with a wide variety of mediums such as acrylic paint, gouache, watercolor, and graphite This was what brought her to attaining a Bachelor of Design at Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) for illustration.

Her art is inspired by nostalgia and surrealism and the little things in life, it is easy to lose sight of simple things as everyone is so busy with life that she enjoys trying to capture these elements in her art. She hopes to one day be able to work in children’s book illustration and publishing. She loves to work with children and gets inspired by constant learning and sharing her knowledge.
