The Art One Academy recruits local, Richmond Hill, Thornhill, Markham and Toronto, high school student volunteers for the fall term (September through December), spring term (January through June), and summer term (July through August).
Student volunteers assist teachers that support our education programs. Typical activities include preparing materials for art projects, cleaning, photocopying, filing, and assisting during teacher programs.
Candidates for the High School Volunteer Program must be rising juniors or seniors with a mature, positive attitude and a strong work ethic. The schedule will vary weekly, based on the number of projects to be completed. Service hours will be documented and may be submitted for school-based community service credits.

Testimonials
“The studio provides excellent opportunities for students to learn and appreciate the art. They provide variety of supplies to teach the students from sketch, sculpture to creative painting. The teachers are patient and give full attention to the students resulting from their low teacher-student ratio.”
